Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Transition to teen-age can be challenging…our programs can help! Martial arts training in this program focuses on a modified adult curriculum and can improve all areas of life (mental, physical, technical, social)

Program Goals:

  • 2 x 1 hour classes per week
  • Refining fitness and karate specific skills
  • Improved self confidence
  • Self defence
  • Progression through to intermediate karate skills

Karate for Teens

Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00pm – 9:00pm

This program is for developing teen martial artists.  Increased emphasis will be put on sport karate and conditioning as well as the practical application of karate (mentally and physically) in an increasingly adult environment.

  • 2 x 1 hour classes per week
  • Optional conditioning class Friday nights
  • “Stand Up” (karate) techniques and tactics for all environments
  • Applications of kata (bunkai)
  • Grappling and ground fighting
  • Conditioning for the karate athlete

Competitive Martial Arts

Train to Compete

This program is for karate students who have been identified as having potential to train for competition.  Students begin learning the fundamentals of WKF Karate (kata and kumite), and conditioning, and have the chance to compete at local “friendship” tournaments. As the student progress, the opportunity to train and compete at regional, provincial, national, and international competition become available.

Program Goals:

  • Developing athletic confidence
  • Learning to perform under pressure
  • Understand competive tactics
